Striggio and Tallis live
In the summer of 2012, I Fagiolini gave five performances of Striggio’s Mass in 40 Parts and Tallis Spem in Alium – in Cambridge, Bath, Tewkesbury, York and London.
Thanks to a grant from the National Lottery, through Arts Council England, I Fagiolini was able to work with an amateur choir in each venue, providing an opportunity for them to perform alongside the cream of the UK’s professional singers and instrumentalists.
The concerts in Cambridge and London were also generously supported by Alpha CRC, Cambridge.

A short film was made about the performances in York which were unusual because the audience was able to walk around the centre of horseshoe of musicians so as to get a completely different perspective on the music.
