Crimes of Passion

Betrayal will be created using a devised process, meaning that much of the content for the finished piece will be decided upon during rehearsals. This entails gathering a wide range material, and gradually choosing what to put in and what to leave out.

To help us with this, we’ve launched a competition in partnership with the Barbican, asking the public to tell us about their favourite fictional crimes of passion. These can be from a novel, play, film or TV series – anything, so long as it isn’t factually true.

We’ll then look at all the submissions and choose some of them to take into the rehearsal period, where aspects of some will help inspire the finished piece. Those who suggested the stories we choose will be invited to experience a preview of the work at our final dress rehearsal.
